Lifestyle Product Photographer for Skincare and Beauty Brands Featuring Evian Spray
As a San Diego beauty photographer specializing in commercial lifestyle product photography, I know how important it is for skincare and beauty brands to have fresh, organic imagery that not only resonates with their audience but also converts in marketing campaigns. And let’s be real—there’s an art to making a product look effortless, aspirational, and, most importantly, sellable.
After working in editorial for years — doing all the creative from art direction to running point on campaigns to testing A/B marketing for ads and analyzing analytics to see ROI — it’s super impactful to take that approach and apply it to the art and business of commercial photography.
Recently, I had the opportunity to work with Evian Spray to create lifestyle beauty content for their product line—an experience that perfectly aligned with my passion for commercial product photography in the beauty and skincare space. From creative direction to final edits, every shot was designed to highlight hydrated, glowing skin in real-life scenarios that potential customers could relate to.
Here’s a look into the lifestyle skincare editorial campaign for Evian Spray!
Evian’s team reached out after seeing my work and wanted me to bring a fresh, effortless feel to their latest campaign. What made this project especially exciting? My personal connection to the product—I’ve been using Evian Facial Mist for nearly 15 years since a French friend introduced me to it.
It’s my go-to for hydration, whether prepping my skin for serums, refreshing during travel, or setting makeup. I love when I get to photograph a product I already use because I know what makes it special. That meant I could creatively direct the shoot in a way that felt authentic, not just pretty.
Many skincare product photography projects rely on studio setups or flat-lay imagery (which, don’t get me wrong, I love doing), but Evian wanted something different—images that felt natural, candid, and true to how their audience actually uses the product. The goal was to capture:
I handled model casting, location scouting, outfit selection, and creative direction to ensure we met these objectives.
Nickayla Rivera was the perfect model—her effortless beauty and natural confidence aligned seamlessly with Evian’s aesthetic. Styling was kept casual and realistic, using pieces the model already owned. The vibe? Like she just stepped out for the day, Evian mist in hand, glowing and fresh.
To create a relatable, lifestyle-driven campaign, I selected locations that felt like places where someone would genuinely use Evian Facial Mist—out and about in the city, after a workout, during a busy day, or in those small self-care moments we all love. No overly stiff posing, no unnatural setups. Just a fresh face, glowing skin, and movement that made the images feel alive.
We opted for bright natural light to emphasize that hydrated, dewy-skin glow, which is essential in beauty advertising campaign photography. The result? Photos that feel real, vibrant, and effortlessly cool—exactly what today’s consumers connect with.
Since Evian wanted a more editorial, unfiltered approach, I focused on capturing moments that felt almost candid—like the kind of content that naturally pops up in someone’s feed and makes them stop scrolling. Think natural smiles, soft breezes catching the model’s hair, and effortless movement.
The images from this shoot were used throughout Evian’s social media channels and paid ad campaigns, helping them engage with their audience in a fresh and relatable way.
The feedback? They loved the photos. By leaning into lifestyle product photography rather than traditional, overly polished setups, the content felt modern, engaging, and most importantly—effective. And at the end of the day, that’s the goal. It’s about making imagery that doesn’t just sit pretty—it works.
For skincare and beauty brands, the right imagery is more than just aesthetically pleasing—it needs to convert. Whether you’re launching a new product or refreshing your marketing visuals, working with a commercial product photographer who understands both artistic direction and marketing strategy is essential.
With over a decade in photography, editorial, and marketing, I know how to create content that stops the scroll, captures attention, and drives sales. In an oversaturated beauty market, consumers are drawn to imagery that feels real and aspirational—but still achievable.
That’s where lifestyle beauty photography comes in. It builds trust, making it easy for your audience to see themselves using—and loving—your products.
