Honey is a lot like wine where its terrain based; California Honey Co. offers honeys unique to the California landscape with different varietals — all influenced by flowers, locations, and time of year.

GOALS:

Photographs that are application based —when and how to use it. Highlight how to incorporate the different honeys into daily life, and create little moments of pause/joy.

STAND-OUT FEATURE:

Product is local to California in all aspects: the beekeeper, the terrain, the flowers. Each container tells a story of how and where the honey was made — each variety is so different from the next in taste, aroma, and color.

Small family apiaries work on a much smaller local scale. Commercially packaged honeys are blended from masses of suppliers, often foreign suppliers that can be treated with antibiotics or harsh pesticides. They are also flash heated and fine filtered, destroying the natural properties and enzymes of the honey itself.
